As everyone tells you, working on your physical health will add more years to your life and keep you better maintained. However, no one often mentions that it also improves your mood and assists in preventing mental illnesses. Those who are healthy and are more active feel more relaxed, sleep better, experience less stress, and think more positively about themselves in general.

Some helpful tips when focusing on your physical health:

  • Getting a good quality sleep helps you feel more relaxed and reduces stress.

  • Drinking enough water a day will help with your skin, gut, brain function, and energy levels

  • Exercising regularly helps to reduce stress levels and improve your overall health. Even exercising for 10 minutes a day will get your endorphins going.  

  • Keeping a healthy diet helps with energy levels and stress management.

  • Exercising regularly, even if its 10-20 minutes a day

  • Drink plenty of water

  • Going for a walk

  • Taking a bath

  • Eating nourishing foods and maintaining a balanced diet
